Finally Focused...

This might sounds strange, but for the first time in forever I feel in control of my day. For too long I've been a blurred camera lens all distorted and cloudy. Today I am focused. Finally!

I gave myself time to recharge and let go of my guilt and also rest up from being sick. After posting about my job change, I realized it was time to get more serious than I've ever been with my writing.

I have a responsibility to myself, my dreams, and to my husband for all of his support.

So, with my creative freedom comes new responsibility and a new schedule. No more room for floundering. I pulled out my trusty egg timer and dry-erase board. I've started a new daily routine that's flexible and leaves room for life stuff.

I have a real writing schedule! I've never been able to stick with one before.

It's empowering to finally take control of my daily life, not just focusing on to-do's or the day job.

I feel like I have my life back. Definitely not my typical Monday. Now I just need to work on my blogging schedule!

Focus

How's your Monday going? Do you follow a schedule?

Creative Wishes,

Writing is your new job!
My schedule is my day job, and lots of time-wasting blogging during the lulls.
And there are a lot of lulls...

ooh, I envy you! I have a loose schedule I usually stick to. The only thing that interrupts my writing is my day job, chores, and the occasional game of Fallout 3 at my brothers. Oh, and The Walking Dead :)

happy writing!

I'm happiest when I have a schedule too. Just remember that it takes two weeks for a new habit to stick. Your old self will fight you a lot during that time, so hang tough, my friend.

I don't respond well to schedules, especially where my writing is concerned. However, I will be posting for WRiTE CLUB every Monday beginning on Nov. 7th! :)

I envy & admire you. I have to get with the program and develop a writing schedule now that I am not working. If not my day just slips by. Good luck. Keep us updated on how it works out for you.

I don't have an exact schedule, but I'm busy doing what I love. Now only to be making a few $ doing it, that would be nice :)
